<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the context of the Russian agricultural sector, the prospects for progress in the livestock sector are determined by a complex interaction of economic, logistical and environmental factors. These elements determine the trajectories of improving and strengthening the position of products in international markets. Achieving these goals implies focusing on key trends aimed at increasing productivity and efficiency of operations in livestock farms. The discourse of this article focuses on strategies to increase productivity in the livestock industry through the use of mathematical modeling methods and economic evaluation of performance criteria. The researchers preferred the parameters established in international practice, including criteria related to the optimization of energy consumption of enterprises, and developed a comprehensive economic model based on the need to improve the functional characteristics of enterprises. Specifically, the object of the analysis is the field of milk production, which is facing intense competition emanating not only from classic dairy producers, but also from producers of alternative products. In the context of the study, data on production volumes, energy and mass characteristics of products are presented, as well as the impact of reducing energy consumption on the efficiency of dairy enterprises in the unit is analyzed. The study includes a model demonstrating the economic benefits of reducing energy costs through modernization rather than complete reconstruction of production complexes.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><title>Keywords</title><kwd>animal husbandry</kwd><kwd>dairy farming</kwd><kwd>cost reduction</kwd><kwd>energy saving</kwd><kwd>development</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><title>Ключевые слова</title><kwd>животноводство</kwd><kwd>молоководство</kwd><kwd>снижение затрат</kwd><kwd>экономия энергии</kwd><kwd>развитие</kwd></kwd-group><counts><page-count count="14"/></counts>
